Google - The best all purpose search engine on the internet. Be sure and set your preferences to "show 100 results." (Note: For those who don't know better, Google and Yahoo are two SEPARATE things. Yahoo only licenses SOME of the technology behind the Google engine and they maintain independant databases of what's on the Internet.)
Jim Loy - Short (often humorous) articles on most any topic. Science, math, bowling, game theory, you name it.
J.G. Soft - Makers of Editpad (now called Editpad Classic). A free drop-in replacement for Notepad. This Text only editor "fixes" the primary problems with Notepad: Large file support, Multiple files support, and search & replace (across all open files).
Peter David - Personal website of Peter David. One of my favorite writers of Comics and Star Trek Novels. I enjoy reading his opinions regarding Buffy, Angel, West Wing, current movies, etc. etc. etc.
Snopes - Urban Legend Reference Pages. If you get an email with "true" story that you want to share with others, check here before sending it on. It might be an internet urban legend.
